My name is Michael and for those who have known me for a while the idea of my jumping on a plane to a new destination is nothing new.

Having never really travelled before the age of 24 I decided to make up for it by heading off on a big trip around the world.  I felt I needed to get to know this planet and the people on it a little better.

Recently I took a bit of a break from my course in world cultures, but I am pleased to say, that having been accepted by VSO and given a placement, I will soon be heading out to work in a teacher training college in Bule Hora (some interesting stats in that link, but it gives some idea of the place) in the south of Ethiopia.
